We started with the automotive sector (as we know). Currently, the software supply chain in automotive is structured as follows in the below diagram.
Note: the diagram below also applies to commercial vehicle manufacturers.

Work in progress as OEMs move towards:
Based on our discussions with clients in advanced discussions/ negotiations / qualified prospects - our pricing model is still in progress and evolving:
| Started with classing pricing
| (established companies) | One time license >200k€ |
|---|---|
| Typical SOP (Start Of Production) support per project 60k€ / year | |
| Typical paid PoC (Proof of Concept) or integration services 50k to 200k€ | |
| Exploring new models | Per unit sold (or bracket brace) - 2 - 5€ / car / ECU |
| Dev Tools (Development Tools). | |
| Current dev tools for a typical automotive dev team can go over 10k €/ dev/ year. We plan to replace some of this. | |
| Long term plan | Recurent payment for certified version support |
| Recurent payment for certified version support | |
| 3rd party applications running on OxidOS Edge | |
| Bundled Dev Tools (see above pricing example) |
🛫 Land and expand model, starting with one project and growing each client to a 1 - 4M/ Y account.
A topical client will:
Start-off with adopting OxidOS for one internal project (for example - for one ECU (Electronic Control Unit out of one car platform / generation) - and then expand to other projects for additional ECUs or other platforms / models - up to 80 / car - each with its own operating system and software stack;

Will start adopting OxidOS for one of their projects - with support from us - so initially, this will look more as Engineering Services fees (for PoV (proof of Value), PoC (Proof of Concept), support for SOP (Start of Production) - depending on their internal processes and internal teams distribution. This can take up to 24 months.
Typically, after SOP (Start for Production) the software will be used for around 5 years - and this is where recurring revenue comes in - and typically will look more like recurrent subscriptions / DevSeats.
